According to "Bwana"(Master), Reggie Carter-Swinson, a.k.a (Karate Reg), the training of Grandmaster Rogers, (His younger brother), began at the age of 7 months old, when Reginald and brother Franklin began teaching him wrestling and the "Iron body technique" in the form of a game called "chest" where combatants hit one another in the chest to see if they could take it. Hand sensitivity drills, sparring, and grappling - concepts that honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for his principles of passive and non-resistance, and Malcom X for his principle "By any means neccesary.", came later in the form of neighborhood competitions called "Slapboxing," and it is in this way that "Ya or Kwa Asilia Avita Sanaa" (The Original Martial Art) was passed down from generation to generation from Africa. It was the balanced writings of Herodotus, Matsutatsu Oyama, Nijel Bin, and others that are to be commended for exsposing the African origins of the martial arts to Grandmaster Rogers, the earliest of which was when he was only 15 yrs old. It was right around the time Grandmaster Rogers first learned the concept of submissiom fighting from a chokehold placed on him by his uncle, Edward McNair Sr., in a seminar at a family gathering. Below is Matsutatsu Oyama in the same guard posture as an Ancient Egyptian.
